The people that make Critical Flow work.
Chris Corris
Managing Director and Senior MCERTS Inspector
Chris joined the company in 1999. He wrote and developed early versions of flow software, which is still the base of today’s Mflow software used by CFS.
Chris became an MCERTS Inspector in 2005. Sitting on the MCERTS steering group, working with the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales and the Water Utilities he is involved with continually improving the scheme.
He works closely with Severn Trent and Thames Water to meet their MCERTS requirements and has worked with several power generation companies to develop a ‘Pump Run Time’ method to report their flow data.
Marcus Harding
Senior MCERTS Inspector
Marcus joined the team in 2003, having gained a wealth of experience working for Wessex Water for 15 years. Marcus became an MCERTS inspector shortly after joining us in 2005.
Marcus continues to work closely with Wessex Water and other non-water utilities in the South West region.
An early champion of the Panametrics flow meter, Marcus is also an expert in the operation of clamp on ultrasonic flow meters.
Aaron Hiden
Senior MCERTS Inspector
Aaron has over ten years experience in working with Flow Monitoring and MCERTS certification and became a qualified MCERTS inspector in 2011.
He works throughout the sector and has run several large projects in clean water network compliance, flow4 and Event Duration (Storm) Monitoring.
Recently, Aaron worked on the UKWIR Research Project, developing flow models which demonstrate flow to treatment for Flow4 compliance.
Georgina Whittaker
Project Manager
Georgina joined us in 2025. She is an experienced Project Manager and a member of our planning team. She delivers the Critical Flow MCERTS inspection programme for Thames Water. Georgina has worked in diverse energy sectors from oil and gas to renewable energy both in the UK and overseas.
Amber Manford Keen
Project Manager
Amber joined our team in 2024 as Project Manager for Dwr Cymru (Welsh Water). She holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from UWE, is certified in IOSH, and has a Level 3 Award in Mental Health: Workplace First Aider (RQF). Currently working towards her Prince2 qualification, Amber is known for being efficient and patient when working with customers, making her a reliable presence on the team.
Catherine Corris
Office/Project Manager
Catherine joined Critical Flow Systems at the start of 2023 and plays a key role in supporting both our water utility and trade customers. She oversees HR and office management while also managing projects to ensure smooth delivery and strong customer relationships. Before joining the team, Catherine worked as a solicitor, bringing with her a wealth of experience in communication, organisation, and problem solving.
Joanne Hammond
Office Administrator/Project Manager
Jo joined us in 2024 as our Office Administrator/Project Manager. As our Office Administrator/Project Manager, Jo plays a central role in keeping our operations running smoothly and our projects on track.
Laura Gill
HSQE Manager
Laura joined us in 2025 as our Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) Manager. Laura plays a key role in ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of safety and sustainability, while driving quality and performance throughout the business.
Karly Morris
Office/Project Manager
Karly joined in 2023 after 16 years at an accountancy practice, where she gained extensive experience in bookkeeping, management accounting, and financial operations. Karly holds an AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting, enhancing her expertise in financial management, performance measurement, and strategic decision-making.
Alex Storrer
MCERTS Inspector
Alex Storrer has been a key member of Critical Flow Systems since 2017, bringing deep expertise and a strong passion for flow measurement. As a certified MCERTS Inspector, Alex ensures high standards of compliance and accuracy in flow monitoring—particularly within the water industry, where much of the company’s work is focused. With a solid background in both environmental and industrial applications, Alex is known for a meticulous, solutions-driven approach and a commitment to delivering reliable, regulation-compliant flow measurement systems. His work supports clients in achieving operational efficiency and environmental accountability.
Amanda Taylor
Senior Project Manager
Amanda joined us in 2022. She is an experienced Project Manager and helps deliver the Critical Flow MCERTS Inspection programme. Amanda's qualifications include BA(Hons) Communications, PRINCE2 Practitioner in Project Management and MoR Practitioner in Risk Management.
Phil Rose
Senior MCERTS Inspector
Phil joined CFS straight from University in 2008 as a trainee MCERTS Inspector, becoming fully qualified in 2011.
Phil works closely with teams in Dwr Cymru (Welsh Water) to meet their MCERTS compliance.
Phil is trained as a Principal Designer to aid compliance with the CDM regulations, and in addition to managing the MCERTS certification program, has designed and overseen the installation of many complex civil projects.
Lucy French
MCERTS Inspector
Lucy joined us straight after university and qualified as an MCERTS Inspector in 2018. She now has a young family so has moved into our planning team and now manages site visits for South West Water.
Tamas Borondi
MCERTS Inspector and Quality Standards
Tamas graduated from Budapest University of Technology and has a Masters qualification in Quality Standards. He qualified as an MCERTS Inspector in 2018.
Instrumental in achieving ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates for the company, he continues to be involved in all aspects of quality standards and compliance.
Recently, Tamas oversaw the UKAS calibration of our test rig flow meter, this enables us to calibrate all of our equipment to National Standards.
Kate Davies
MCERTS Inspector
Kate is an Oxford University graduate and joined us in 2019. She very quickly moved through our training programme to qualify as an MCERTS Inspector in 2021. She has experience in all sectors and is now helping to train our current trainees.
Callum Harcombe
Assistant MCERTS Inspector
Callum is a Biology MSci graduate from the University of Birmingham, currently training to become an MCERTS Inspector since joining the company in August 2024. Passionate about environmental protection and committed to helping clients meet their environmental compliance and sustainability goals. Callum brings a strong academic foundation and a proactive approach to supporting environmental best practices in the field.
Mihai Both
Assistant MCERTS Inspector and Project Manager
Mihai joined us in 2018 as a trainee and moved on to becoming an Assistant MCERTS Inspector. Whilst he still carries out site work from time to time he is now a Project Manager and organises site visits for some of our water utility customers.
Amanda Taylor
Project Manager
Amanda joined us in 2022. She is an experienced Project Manager and helps deliver the Critical Flow MCERTS Inspection program for some of our Water Utility customers. Amanda's qualifications include BA(Hons) Communications and PRINCE2 Foundation.
Ed Moncrieff
Trainee MCERTS Inspector
Ed joined us in 2020 as a trainee MCERTS Inspector. He has a BSc degree in Geography from The University of Portsmouth. Ed has lots of experience in flow measurement after carrying out numerous site visits under a variety of EA environmental schemes as part of his training.
Angus Butler
Trainee MCERTS Inspector
Angus joined us in 2024 as a Trainee MCERTS Inspector. He graduated from the University of York with a degree in Archaeology and has previous experience in MCERTS stack emission monitoring.
Sam Lawson
Trainee MCERTS Inspector
Joined us in 2021 as a Trainee MCERTS Inspector. He recently graduated from the University of the West of England with a degree in Civil Engineering.
Bobaker Salah
Trainee MCERTS Inspector
Bob joined us in 2021 as a Trainee MCERTS Inspector. He has two degrees, BEng (Hons) in Manufacturing Engineering and MSc in Petroleum Refining Systems Engineering.
Tom Green
Trainee MCERTS Inspector
Joined us in 2022 as a trainee MCERTS Inspector. He recently graduated from Swansea University with a degree in Geography.
Joe Ramsden
Trainee MCERTS Inspector
Joe has an undergraduate degree in environmental science and a Master’s in River Environments and their Management. Joe was previously a pub manager but is now using his education with Critical Flow. He is excited to learn and develop within the water industry and is looking forward to furthering his career with us, learning more about flow measurement, policy and legislation.
Charlie Howe
Trainee MCERTS Inspector
Joined us in 2023 as a Trainee MCERTS Inspector. He recently graduated from the University of East Anglia with a degree in Environmental Science.
Lucy Bevan
Trainee MCERTS Inspector
Lucy joined us in 2024 as a Trainee MCERTS Inspector. She graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a BSc degree in Environmental Science.
